Lincoln 'n Cars

Lincoln, I'm trying to get a cute picture of you playing with your cars

Temle Square 2010

The whole Utah clan made it for our annual Temple Square trip

So much to see

 Our traditional family picture

The Holt's can always use all the extra hands they can get these days.  They were such good sports to come!

It's fun to walk around when you are holding the hand of a cute little boy like this

Hot Chocolate

It's a Hot Chocolate afternoon. Even Lincoln has to have the mint :)

An Extraordinary Family

It's not too rare around here to find a Lion, a Basketball playing Zoro, and a masked girl in black quietly eating their afternoon snack.

Fieldtrip

Ammon and his sweet preschool friends going to see Santa at the mall

Brothers

I'm not sure how they ended up like this or why it melts my heart to see them be so happy together.  It's times like these that turns them into best friends for the rest of their lives.

I think that was all Lincoln ate of his hamburger, Dave wasn't too sad about that.
 The perfect way to travel
"Mom, leave me alone!"  Josh doesn't actually say this yet, I just feel like it's coming
 Lots of smarties
 LOTS of Arizona dessert
 Car toys
 I was even there

Ice cream cones in the hotel on our last night

I'm really embarrassed about this post because I apparently didn't have my camera with me when we were out of the car and hotel.  We had a great time with David's family!  I'll try to find some more pictures of the fun we had with them.

Homework

Not getting a whole lot finished:

Ammon

Ammon loves to write and draw pictures of his family.  In fact that is just about the only thing he will write and draw about.  This is a picture of him trying to write all of our families names, after that he taped it to the wall.  I know it's just a simple little thing but after seeing him doing this for months I know that his little family is the most important thing to him and that's all he wants to write about.  We love you little Ammon.

Chores

I always am worrying that I'm not giving my kids a good work ethic because I'm not giving them enough jobs.  I'm always trying to find things that are good for their age level.  The surprising side effect of all of this is that they are actually really helping around the house.  They know that it is my favorite thing in the world when they quickly do something I've asked them.

Cheesecake Factory

When Meggan is in town we have to have some good girl time.  I think we were supposed to be doing some good shopping this night but instead spent way too long at the Cheesecake Factory.  Luckily I documented part of our dinner conversation:
Clearly we don't know how to take a good group picture (there is Suzanne, always texting):
So our side of the table attempts a good picture (sorry I messed it up):
So the lessons begin on how to take get a good camera angle to flatter all those in the picture (I still can't figure out a good angle):
So we try a camera angle from above and try to define our cheekbones just a little:
Diana is as bad as me:
Shauna tries to convince us that a little facial hair can really help:
I think Meggan is starting to get embarrassed to be with us and tries to go incognito:
Shauna and Diana start fighting like always:
We try once again deciding not to employ any of our previous ideas of how to take a good picture:
And so does the other side of the table:
Watch out Suz, I have no idea what's about to happen here but I'd be nervous:
Now I'm starting to wonder why it has been so long since Meggan has come to visit us.
