where I've been...

I decide I should probably post something for all you who have been looking at the picture for weeks now of Josh and Ammon holding hands. A lots gone on the past couple of weeks: first time to women's conference (never want to miss that again), Race for the Cure, a thought provoking book (The Brothers), a picture slide movie for Nanny's 85th birthday (those always take longer to make then you think), and just a bunch of chasing around two wild little boys. This past Saturday I got to go run a few errands by myself and I just had the biggest smile on my face, was friendly to everyone, talkative. I felt like I was doing some kind of wonderful therapy for myself by being by myself. I know it sounds weird because I love being with my family, it's just that the whole shopping experience is so different when your not entertaining/corralling/disciplining two little boys. So here are a few pictures of what we've been up to:

Race for the Cure, Suzanne was our survivor. Fun sister day.

Field Trip to the Animal Farm. Ammon has never wanted to ride the ponies, too scary, but I think he wanted to be like the big pre-schoolers. He didn't not enjoy this very much and when he was sliding off the saddle and couldn't stay upright I finally put him out of his misery and pulled him off.

This is the only picture I have of our wild street party, but it about says it all. Lot of fun, yummy food.

First Women's Conference. There is our prophet, so amazing.

Nanny is 85! (My dad's mom) I love Nanny, she is so fun to talk to.

We all asked Nanny a question about her life growing up, and then said a memory we have or her.
Diana tring to buy the same clothes I have, and then wear them the same day I do. Diana what are are you going to do without me.

Sprinklers

Yesterday was so nice outside and I wanted to get the boys outdoors a little. I got them all excited about running around in the sprinklers and we headed outside. I realized we needed a fun sprinkler head (that I didn't have) and had to make do with the little watering attachment. Worked great! Sorry I put so many of these pictures up they just all make me laugh.
I love this of Josh discovering how to make'foot prints' and 'hand prints'.

And this is the boys breaking the windshield of their Jeep, and then laughing their heads off about it. They were laughing too much for me to get really mad at them. So busted. You boys are cute.

Who is this kid?

I know this picture is not the best but I had to capture my little boy at the Dinosaur Museum the other day. He dresses like this all the time, and I often just let him. I figured out a while ago that is so not worth the fight to make him wear what I think is cute. He has such strong opinions about what he is wearing. If we are going somewhere special and I really want him to wear something nicer he just cries and cries and says things like, "What if my teacher doesn't like these shoes?", or "I don't like my self in this shirt mommy!" I feel so bad and just let him wear what ever he is comfortable in. It surprises me that such a little boy would already notice these things, and feel more confident in certain clothes. He has always been really observant whenever I do any little decorating projects, and I think he is just a visual learner. Anyway, that brings us to days like these when we are at the museum and he is just walking around like this and I have to laugh. What to do?
