Cats out of the bag

Looks like you all figured out my little secret. All I can say is that 40 never felt so good :)

I had such a great birthday! It was simple but I guess I was just feeling all the love from the wonderful people around me. We Josh saw David give me a gift he was really sad that he didn't have a present to give me so he was extra sweet all day in cleaning up and helping me with what ever asked. Seriously, when your kids are happy and sweet life couldn't be happier. Thanks for lunch Suzy, yummmmm.

Christmas Time!

How fun is this picture? I just love the snow everywhere, the huge trees in the background, standing on a snow covered bridge over a chilly, chilly stream. Killing time before eating the best meal of the year with my favorite people in the world.

Mason Hulme

First sleep over ever. Thanks cousin Mason for coming all the way from Arizona to have a sleep over with Josh. Ben's family stayed at my parents house the week of Thanksgiving but we had to steel Mason for a night because he's just too much fun. I kept checking in on these boys and it was cute to here their conversations. Like how Mason explained to Josh what "Ice Age 3" was all about. And then an hour latter I would hear them doing thumb wars. And then the kept switching their sleep arrangements and how nobody wanted to sleep in the real bed but wanted the makeshift bed we set up. They talked and talked by the little of their little Christmas trees light. Come over anytime Mason, we'll let you have the 'blanket bed' on the floor

brothers...

sharing a pretzel. I like how Ammon pulled Lincoln up next to him and is content to play and share a snack with him.

Socks pulled off, eating a pretzel, watching the batteries charge with great interest like only a little boy could.

Home

Josh entered a school art contest with the theme of, "Beauty is..." (complete the sentence). So while helping him brainstorm for his project I asked him what he thought beauty was. He simple said, "Beauty is here." So he paints a picture of our home, glued two leaves onto each tree (those fell off pretty fast), wrote his brothers name, and painted himself riding his bike. A neighbor boy scribbled on it a little but Josh was really sweet and was really forgiving. I think you're right Josh, beauty is here, I love our home too. Mainly because you and our family are all here together.

How we sleep

I love awkwardness

I seriously love this picture. One of my favorite things about babies is watching them try and control their cute little chubby arms and fingers and legs. I love watching Lincoln eat his puffs and try to get them into his mouth. I can laugh at him all day while he tries so hard to fine tune his fine motor skills. So what if his nose is a little runny and a puff gets stuck up his nose? I'm just so proud that he is learning to pick up a little puff. Don't grow up Lincoln, stay uncordinated for as long as you want. Your mama loves it.
