Beautiful Yellowstone

Hike to Sheep Falls

Oh Ammon, why are you eating dirt? You look way to cute and happy for me to even get mad.

A little cousin love

Such a hiker, well at least for the first 10 minutes, good thing Dave was there to carry him

Beautiful Idaho landscape. I never knew Idaho could be so green and peaceful. For some reason I always picture the long, dry, view along so many of Idaho's freeways when thinking of Idaho landscapes, but this was much different. So relaxing.

Josh and Dave at our very own stick-horse rodeo

And if your going to Idaho you have to stop by BYU-I, especially if that is the place you meet and fell in love with your wonderful husband. This is our pathetic attempt to take a family picture at BYU-I, notice Dave didn't even make it in and the kids don't want to be taking a picture, oh well.

We had a great Mattson Family Reunion (my mom's family) up at a girl's camp just a few miles outside of Yellowstone Park. It was beautiful, and a lot of fun to see cousins and relatives. Josh came home with 75 mosquito bites, ouch, but luckily no bear bites. I was really starting to get nervous about the bears after hearing a few Yellowstone bear stories but we got away with our even a sitting. We enjoyed rafting and hiking and did I mention how pretty it was, it really blew me away to see the Tetons in the distance and all the pretty rivers and hills. What a place.

Happy Birthday Alisha

Happy Birthday little Shishi Girl. I love your little face!

Parades, Parades, Parades

It doesn't take long once you move to Utah to realize that during the summer there is most likely a parade and a carnival every weekend somewhere close by. It's great! This year we tried out the Pleasant Grove Parade. It was fun, but the main reason why is because Dave is such a maniac. He didn't hesitate to yell at every candy throwing float for, 'more candy' and then tries to interact with every other float and it makes out to be quite the entertainment spectacle. We got our own special numb-chuck show from the Karate float because of Dave's encouragement from the sidelines, he got caught up in a gun slinging showdown, was yelling his support for Miss. UVU while she was just laughing and shaking her head at him (she noticed Dave was wearing a BYU hat and shirt, and he hadn't noticed what he was wearing), he tried real hard to get the adult womens dance club to give us a routine but that didn't work, and all the extra candy that came our way was appreciated by the surrounding kids. I was standing back in the shade for awhile and the people next to us kept commenting to me about Dave and asked if I was standing away because I was getting embarrassed. They were just kidding and I could tell they were enjoying all the extra commentary. Thanks for keeping us all laughing Dave. I think you are the main reason for the smile wrinkles of mine I'm staring to notice. Love you!
