the shoot

Here is the family photo shoot. I think the one that wins the spot on the wall is the top left. Thanks Di and Ryan :)

worried?

After we dropped Joshua off at his first day of preschool my little buddy and I ran a few unnecessary errands. We stopped by KOHL'S to return something and Ammon says,"Look Mom, BYU (any big, bold, white letters say BYU I guess) and a punc-chu-a-shun." I just started laughing and didn't know if I should be impressed that he knew the word 'punctuation', or concerned that he's watching too many Leap Frog movies. Or maybe I should just be dissapointed that he generically called it 'punctuation' and didn't call it by its proper name, an 'apostraphe'. Really I was just surprised and couldn't help but laugh and make him say it over and over again.

Which reminds me of how much I really do love those Leap Frog movies. I had been working with Josh to learn his letter sounds when my sister-in-law clued me in on these movies. I got one and Josh learned all is alphabet sounds in a week. So much for me trying to help him, the TV did it much better then I could have. Apparently they work for two year olds too who don't yet know all their grammar terminology. Anyway, Costco sells them for $6.99 right now, quite a steal.

Family Pictures '08

If you decide that it's time for family pictures then you just know that you are in for an hour of torture. Diana and Ryan were nice enough to let us volunteer themselves to take some family pictures of us. I have to tell you that we did get a few good ones but I have to laugh just as hard at all the 'bad' pictures we took.
I think Josh was finished taking pictures about 10 minutes before we finished. And this is me telling Dave that I refuse to take a family picture by the port-a-potty, disgusting, I don't even like to touch those things.

This is me trying to exclude Ammon from our family pictures. What a mom, huh? Sorry but I was starting to think that we should just take the pictures with out him because I was tired of doing a lot of...

this.

If anybody knew my little brother Jon when we he was 4 1/2 years old you might think this was a picture of him, but it's actually Josh. Sorry Meggan and Jon but I think there may have been a mix-up in heaven and we got your baby, that means you might have our baby and we'll have to take your little baby girl when she is born in November...that doesn't mean that you get Josh.

Okay, I'll let you see one good picture. Yes Mom Bragonje, this one will be on order for you.

To see the good pictures that we actually did take you'll have to come over to my house and see what we put up on our wall, or wait for a Christmas card. Just kidding I'll probably put them on this blog sooner of later. Thanks Di and Ryan!

Dave's Office

Dave had a work party this past week and so we got to meet him down in Payson and check out his new office. Mostly everybody was gone and so the boys had their run of the place, and they were loving it. It kept making me laugh because I would remember visiting my Dad at his office when we were little and we would terrorize the place. Race the elevator up and down the stairs, find his stash of snickers in his drawers, eat the candy out of the dish in the front and try to get office supplies we needed. Here the boys are trying to unlock the bottom drawers with little keys and they were so happy.
The party was up Payson Canyon at a family cabin and it was a lot of fun. It was fun to here the banking humor and the funny things that happen to the tellers. I especially liked all the funny stories about dirty money, yes literally dirty money. Like money with dirt and hair stuck all over it, or money that smells really bad or that is wet. Yuck, I hope those tellers get paid well.

Aunt Renae

We just love our Aunt Renae! She lives in Payson and any time we are down that way we have to say hi. The boys love her because she does cool things like show them were to find bugs and spiders (I'm glad somebody does this because I'm really bad at it no matter how hard I try).

And she lets the kids pick the vegetables out of her garden, and gives us tons of veggies. She lets them plant flowers and even bought them little gardening tools.

Ammon had to have a picture with his shovel (?).

The Candy Parade

We always have to go to the Cedar Hills parade...why? Because it's really should be called the 'candy parade'. Check out Josh's loot! (of course having Dave to encourage more candy our way helps) But we don't just go to get candy, come on, we have important people who are in the parade to cheer for like Breanne.

Our Pioneer Day celebration (actually held on the 26th because that's when Cedar Hills does their firework show?). This is Diana working hard to make us some ice cream, or should I say slush? The rain starting coming down weird and the sun looked so cool through the clouds, lots of wind...therefor no firework show after all, and no little firecrackers outside (fine with me, those make me nervous). But that doesn't mean we didn't have a great time.

Florida

I can't believe I haven't blogged about Florida yet. We had a great vacation at Grandma and Grandpa's with these people:

And also with these people:

We couldn't get enough of the beach, and we went here as much as we could:

Dave always manages to catch one of these:
Beach buddies:

I think one of the best parks in the Orlando area for little kids is Cypress Gardens. It has a water park, little zoo area, water ski show, beautiful Florida gardens and most important lots of little roller-coaster rides like this:
A Banyan tree, you've got to love these things:

Josh even figured out how to take one of these:

Park buddies:

Strolled through Downtown Disney. Found a few Lego's laying around and the kids built one of these:

Found some water to play in:

The 'big' boys went to Kennedy Space Center (Josh won't stop talking about Jupiter):

And did as much of this as we could (Matthew is a lot braver then Ammon I guess ;) :

Grandpa and Grandma Bragonje are the best hosts ever. Thanks for all the fun activities and great meals. We also managed to get in a few sweaty jogs (thanks Ann, she's the runner I'm the slow jogger at best), a fun dinner with the adults, trip to the library, lots of shopping, two movies, the zoo, a playgroup with old friends, and fun late night talks. I'd never been on a two week vacation to one spot before and it was really so relaxing and fun to see the little cousins have so much fun together. Thanks again Mom and Dad.
